Crozon Peninsula

Stretching westwards into the Atlantic, the anchor-shaped Presqu’île de Crozon (Crozon Peninsula) is one of the most scenic spots in Brittany. In previous centuries, this multifingered spit of land was a key strategic outpost; crumbling forts and ruined gun batteries can still be seen on many headlands, but these days the tucked-away coves, secluded and inviting beaches, thrilling panoramas and clifftop trails are considered to be the strong touristic assets of this region.

The coastline of the peninsula is characterized by many headlands: two headlands situated near Camaret-sur-Mer: the Pointe du Toulinguet with its lighthouse and semaphore overlooking the Goulet de Brest and the Pointe de Pen-Hir with the Tas de Pois, an alignment of three rocky outcrops extending the headland into the Atlantic; the Pointe de Dinan with its natural arch, the Pointe du Kador (Morgat) and the Pointe du Guern, only to mention a few amongst many others ...
